On-Premise vs. On-Demand

Although Microsoft Dynamics CRM offers a full range of deployment options including on-premise, partner-hosted, and a subscription based on-demand solution still the question - Which option is better for my organization? - comes up.

These new terminal server scripts provide support for the CRM V3C Outlook Client’s new custom MAPI store. Like the prior release, the new scripts are only supported on Windows 2003.

The Microsoft CRM Trifecta!

After reading Carolyn April's recent article in Redmond Magazine titled, The Many Flavors of Microsoft CRM, I am encouraged by the breadth of Microsoft CRM offerings (soon to be) available.

Following is a quick summary of Microsoft CRM deployment options (click on the picture to enlarge).

Carolyn April notes, "All three offerings are based on the same code base and provide marketing, sales and customer service-related capabilities. Microsoft is positioning its three-pronged strategy as one of choice: You can start on-premise and move to on-demand or vice versa."

While the On-Premise and Partner Hosted options are available today, CRM Live will be offered direct from Microsoft beginning Summer 2007. Stay tuned!
